It’s officially the weekend for me (Saturday is my “Friday”)! Though to be honest, I’m actually looking forward to crawling into bed with a good movie and some takeout after a long, draining work week. Despite that, I wanted to share a quick recipe for these delicious gin fizz drinks I’ve been making lately. I whipped up a fantastic ginger simple syrup to go with this, but a plain variety will do here as well.
You’ll Need:
- 2 oz gin
- 1 lemon
- 2 tsp simple syrup
- soda water
- 6 mint leaves, plus more for garnish
- ice
First, juice the lemon and pour into an empty glass. Add the simple syrup and mint leaves and muddle. Add ice as desired. Pour in gin. Top off with soda water and garnish with a sprig of mint and a slice of lemon. Enjoy!
Wishing you all lovely weather and a great weekend of your own! Tomorrow I’m off to New Jersey to spend some time with my two best gals, my mama and my grandmama. But I’ll be back soon with more vintage updates and a great new DIY project. Stay tuned :)
